When God says "Blessed", He is saying that you are impregnated in blessings. According to Merriam-Webster, "you are endowed: furnished with an income". "You are conferred prosperity or happiness"; and Divine favor is invoked upon your life". As an example, when someone sneeze, you say "bless you", you are invoking divine health upon their life. May the Lord bless you abundantly with good health, good wealth and protection for your family, business and Everything you do.

Jesus is speaking in Mathew 5. He blesses those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. How can we be righteous 2 Cor. 5:21 "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God".

If you try your best to withdraw from old friends you are doing big and well compensated efforts to stay away from your sinful past life. People are bridge to addiction of all kinds. Whatever you do today is connected to someone who did it one time in your presence. Gathering with God's People keeps your righteousness.
